Mindsets Role In Your Success
To achieve real success in any part of your life, mindset will play a pivotal role. Have you ever heard a rich person say that “I have all the things money can buy but I’m still lonely or unhappy”. It is because there mindset is not where it should be. There are often two contrasting mindsets that people refer to they are the growth mindset and the fixed mindset.
A growth mindset is characterized by the belief that abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work. Individuals with a growth mindset embrace challenges, persist in the face of setbacks, and view failures as opportunities for learning and growth.
A fixed mindset is rooted in the belief that abilities and intelligence are traits where you get what you get and that those characteristics cannot be changed or enhanced. People with a fixed mindset tend to avoid challenges, give up easily when faced with obstacles, and perceive failures as reflections of their inherent limitations.
The effects your mindset has on your life does not just influence your financial success it influences many other areas of life, including personal development, relationships, and career success. This is why I put together the Pathway to Personal Empowerment Bundle, it is four course that will help you on your way to not only a growth mindset but achieving your goals and find success in different areas of your life.
Those with a growth mindset are more likely to seek out new experiences, actively pursue self-improvement, and keep that “it is going to be alright” “we will make it through” attitude when life throws problems your way, which it always does. Having this type of mindset allows a person to fill confident that even though they can not control the situation whatever the results of the situation they will be able to handle the outcome. Being able to walk through life feeling that confidence opens the doors to trying new things and allow yourself to have different experiences resulting in increased satisfaction and fulfillment in life.
In contrast, individuals with a fixed mindset may find themselves stuck in a cycle of self-limiting beliefs and missed opportunities. Their reluctance to step outside their comfort zones and embrace challenges can hinder personal growth and inhibit their ability to reach their full potential.
There are many ways to have a growth mindset it can change your life not only in terms of personal development but also in increasing income potential. One of they ways I have been growing my mind is by clearing it, meditation, sounds strange but the benefits of meditation are reducing stress and increasing attention span which allows me to focus longer. I enjoy meditation but it does take some practice to learn to be still and clear your mind a faster way that I have been using lately is The Genius Wave, which has helped to increase my ability to focus and be more productive. Which ever methods you decide to try taking a growth-oriented outlook in your mind is going to change your ability to have success and fulfillment in life.
The Influence of Mindset
How can you control the outcome of situations that are out of your control?
With your mindset. You can put in your mind the outcome you are looking for and concentrate on that out come. Is this a guarantee that it will all turn out the way you want?
Not exactly and the main reason why is because you don’t know all the deciding factors. I have seen that knowing what you want and concentrating on that, however it happens, influences the outcome.
My experience is it never turns out exactly how you want but it will turn out for what is best at that time. A good example is when my husband and I were looking to buy a house. We were focused in our minds to get a house to have a yard for our kids and to get out of our not so safe apartment living situation.
When we first went looking for our house we could not afford the really nice done for you house that we wanted. We were disappointed and discouraged. We ended up finding a house but it needed a lot of work but had good bones and enough room for our little family at the time. So we bought the house and spent the next 3 years renovating the entire house top to bottom. It was hard not really what I wanted or expected for our 1st house but we got through it and in the meantime my kids were able to grow up in a house with a big backyard their own rooms and with a stay at home mom.
Fast forward to COVID everyone was trying to move into the area we lived in and we were able to sell our house for 2.5 times what we paid for it. Selling that house and the money for it allowed us to pay off lots of debt, lower our bills, move and start our business.
Buying the house that needed the reno wasn’t exactly what we planned for but it really took us to a new level in our life. By the way, the money that we got for selling our house was manifested by using the 3-6-9 method, it is included in my Manifestation Journal that I use to manifest and control my mindset daily.
The influence of mindset extends far beyond mere thoughts; it shapes beliefs, behaviors, and outcomes in profound ways. That is why having a growth mindset approach will allow you to achieve more in so many different ways.
Honestly we were disappointed in getting that house at first but immediately bounced back and remembered to be grateful that we were given the opportunity to own a house when so many others are not.
A growth mindset is not just about getting what you want all the time it is about being able to face disappointment and still be able to have a grateful attitude, find the best in the situation and move on possible try something different and new to get new results to find the life, job, career or relationship you want.
Do You Have a Fixed Mindset?
The mind is a powerful tool that not everyone understands or uses to it’s full capacity. Almost every online course you will take and if you ask any one who has grown their wealth to large amounts they will tell you mindset is the key.
“Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in your life” Tony Robbins
A fixed mindset holds on tightly to the belief that our abilities and intelligence are something we are given and cannot be increased or improved on. This an excuse you will hear often like “I’m just not lucky” “I’m not meant to have success, “my parents didn’t have success either” “It is not in the cards for me to have a good relationship” and because of this limiting fixed mindset they are reluctance to step outside their comfort zones and take risks.
When you have this fixed mindset you find yourself trapped in a cycle of self-doubt and no change. The fear of failure and reluctancy to embrace challenge stops personal growth and limits the ability to reach full potential.
The fixed mindset affects all aspects of your life such as staying in a career you don’t enjoy believing that you don’t have the ability to do anything more than what you are doing now or that you are capable of learning a new skill. Staying in bad relationships believing that person is the best you can get and that you would rather stay with them than risk being alone. Staying in situations that do not bring you happiness destroys your self confidence and all around makes you feel sad and unhappy.
How to Cultivate Your Growth Mindset
Developing a growth mindset is a key factor for unlocking one’s full potential and achieving success in both personal and professional endeavors. I have mentioned a couple like The Genius Wave which helps activate different regions of your brain, and the Manifestation Journal that helped us make 2.5x profit on the sell of our 1st house. Here are some other strategies to help with the cultivation of a growth mindset:
Embrace Challenges: Instead of shying away from challenges, embrace them as opportunities for growth and learning. View obstacles as stepping stones rather than barriers, and approach them with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn from the experience.
Keep on keeping on even in the Face of Setbacks: Setbacks and failures are inevitable on the path to success. Instead of giving up when faced with obstacles, persist and persevere through all the downs. Allow yourself to be upset but then pick yourself up and adopt a resilient mindset, learn from your mistakes, and use setbacks as fuel for growth and improvement.
Seek Feedback: Feedback is a valuable tool for growth and development. Instead of fearing criticism, actively seek feedback from others to gain insights into your strengths and areas for improvement. Use constructive criticism as an opportunity to learn and grow, rather than as a reflection of your abilities.
Reframing negative thoughts and beliefs: this is an important skill for fostering a more optimistic and growth-oriented outlook on life. Challenge negative self-talk and limiting beliefs, and replace them with positive affirmations and empowering thoughts, I have added 20 affirmation cards in my Manifestation Journal for abundance. Cultivate a mindset of abundance and possibility, and focus on opportunities for growth and self-improvement.
All of these topics are covered in the courses and eBooks of The Pathways to Personal Empowerment Bundle and include my Manifestation & Time Management Planner
By incorporating these strategies into your daily life, you can have a growth mindset that empowers you to overcome challenges, persist in the face of setbacks, and achieve higher levels of success and fulfillment in all areas of your life. Remember that developing a growth mindset is a journey, and with dedication and effort, you can unlock your full potential and achieve your goals.
Benefits of a Growth Mindset
A growth mindset offers a multitude of benefits that can positively impact various aspects of life. Here are just a few that can affect a few areas in your life:
Increased Motivation: Believing that no matter how things turn out you will learn something and benefit in some kind of way allows the fear of failure to not be so scary. This will allow you to talk to more people without the fear of being rejected, go for that promotion at work or start that side hustle you have been thinking about.
Higher Achievement: People with a growth mindset tend to achieve more due to their willingness to put in effort and try something new. Because they are more likely to bounce back from setbacks, and view failures as opportunities for learning and growth, they achieve more just by the willingness to try more.
Emotional Regulation: Developing a growth mindset allows you to control your emotions. This regulation of your emotions helps you manage stress and anxiety. You develop the ability to understand that most things are not life or death and can be fixed.
Increased Confidence: Knowing that abilities can be developed boosts self-confidence. There is also a boost in confidence when you know that whatever happens to you in life you have the emotional intelligence to handle it and that just all around gives you more confidence to face each day and it’s challenge.
If you are looking to achieve great success in all the areas of you life you need a growth mindset. As you develop your growth mindset you will be setting ambitious goals, continually striving for self-improvement, embracing challenges as opportunities which will lead to greater creativity and problem-solving abilities.
You will advance personally and professionally, earn higher salaries, and achieve greater levels of financial success as a result of your growth mindset approach to life and work.
